Luciano Marcocci holds a master degree in Electronic Engineering from Politecnico of Milan and specialized in Automation at Boston M.I.T and Business Management at ISTUD foundation. He started his career at ENEL Automation Research Center where he developed modelling and control systems for thermal and nuclear power plants, then he progressed control system design at AGUSTA developing helicopters Automatic Flight Control Systems, Flight Management Systems and Flight Simulators. He coordinated the establishment and grow of the avionic sector at Agusta and following the AgustaWestland merger served as CTO leading the integration of the overall engineering capabilities. In that position leaded the development of an innovative “family” of rotorcraft , unmanned helicopters and the first civil Tiltrotor. Since January 2016 is Chief Technical Officer of Leonardo S.p.A. where coordinates technology innovation and strategic product development.
