Paul Tumelty

Practice Lead - EMEA Government, Mandiant (Google), UK

Paul Tumelty directs both the Mandiant Government practice in EMEA and the UK & Ireland consulting team. In these roles, he works with governments and large enterprise clients across the region to design and implement cybersecurity transformation programs at scale. Before joining Mandiant, Paul spent 13 years in the British in a range of intelligence, operational security and diplomatic roles in the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO). He completed 5 overseas postings, including on secondment to the US Department of Defence, and as the UK’s Cyber Attaché to NATO in Brussels responsible for bilateral Cyber Capacity Building with Allies. In the latter post, he completed whole of government cyber assessments and delivered solutions for Allied partners. Paul was the Cyber Syndicate leader for NATO’s Crisis Management Exercise (aimed at the North Atlantic Council) and a special adviser to the Cyber Coalition Exercise. Prior to this, he spent 4 years as the Nuclear Security Authority at HM Naval Base Clyde.
