Monika Lanzenberger is a programme officer at the European Commission, DG CONNECT, Cybersecurity Technology and Capacity Building Unit. Before joining the Cybersecurity team in Brussels in 2019 she worked as the head of sector for research coordination in the Unit of eHealth, Wellbeing and Ageing in Luxembourg and at the European Research Council Executive Agency in Brussels. Until 2009 she was an assistant professor with the Faculty of Informatics, Institute of Software Technology and Interactive Systems at the Vienna University of Technology in Austria. Monika was a Post-Doc Fellow 2005-2006 at the NTNU, Trondheim, Norway and the Centre de Recherche Public Henri Tudor, Luxembourg. She received her PhD in 2003 and her MSc in Computer Science in 2001 from the Vienna University of Technology.
