Mr. Giuliano D’Auria has a background as a research physicist in international scientific establishments as well as industrial experience in multinational companies.
He joined the LEONARDO Air Traffic Management business in 2002, following the company involvement in European collaborative R&D projects. Within this role he has coordinated large consortia, from Europe and beyond, in the context of research initiatives of high visibility within the international ATM scene. He has been involved in the SESAR initiative for the definition of the future ATM system in Europe and has directly coordinated the SWIM SUIT and Argus 3D Projects as well as GAMMA, representing one of the main European initiative on Air Traffic Management Security.
Within his current role in the CTO (Chief Technical Office) of the Leonardo Traffic Control Systems Line of Business, Mr D’Auria overviews all ATM research initiatives, with special focus on strategies on ATM cyber-security. As part of these cybersecurity responsibilities he represents Leonardo in international working groups.
