Lt. Col. Loris De Luca joined the Italian Air Force Academy in 1993 and, after a degree in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Naples, was assigned at Italian Official Test Centre (IT-OTC) in Pratica di Mare, achieving the qualification of System Test Engineer.
As Leader of the Software Development Service, he managed several integration projects on different avionic platforms such as Tornado and Typhoon, following all phases of avionic software development, from the design up to the operational certification.
After 15 years at IT-OTC, he was appointed as Section Leader for Information Technology and Communication (ICT) Management at NETMA (NATO Eurofighter and Tornado Management Agency). In this position, he was responsible for the relocation of ICT systems to new Agency site and for the security accreditation of the new infrastructure.
He is currently working at IT MoD - Directorate of Air Armament and Airworthiness as Cyber Security Section Leader within the 1st Office of Vice-Technical Directorate, which is responsible for the certification of military aircrafts and air armaments.
He holds a Master of Science in Scientific Application Software from the University of Cranfield and Master in Military Strategic International Studies from the University of Turin.
