Luigi Altavilla

Luigi is an experienced Chief Security Officer, with a working history of over 12 years in the financial industry, building-up and leading all different areas in the security fields (Cyber Security, Antifraud, Online e Card Security, Physical Security, Cash management) and with a relevant background in the management of digital, innovation and payments areas.

(Since 2017) He is the Head of IT Security & Cyber Threats of Generali Group and the CSO of Generali Shared Services (the consortium of the Group to provide internally the IT services); he is also a Board Member of CyberSecureTech, the start-up created by Generali to support the Cyber insurance business and to provide innovative solution to evaluate customers Cyber risks.

Before joining Generali Group, he spent 16 years in UniCredit Group, starting his career in the marketing department of the Italian retail bank of the Group, living two relevant managerial experiences in the online and digital field as Head of Intranet portal (2003-04) and then as Head Of Online & Mobile Banking (2005-07), gave him a business and a customer oriented imprinting.

At the end of 2007, he moved in the rising Security department of the bank, to build up the Antifraud department, in order to set up an environment able to manage the new emerging risks and attacks on digital payments, using a different approach to security able to be a enabling factor for new business and innovation. In 2014, he became CSO Italy of UniCredit, taking in charge also Physical Security and Cash Management.
