Paola Girdinio is Professor of Electrical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Genoa, of which he was also Dean in the Engineering Faculty for 4 years. Her main scientific interests are in the areas of numerical computation of electromagnetic fields, design optimization, cyber security of electrical SCADA system and electromagnetic compatibility, also from an environmental point of view. For her commitment in the academic and professional field she has been included in the roll of experts in technological innovation established by the Ministry of Economic Development.
She is member of the Board of ENEL and of Costa Crociere Foundation. Previously he held the same role at Banca Carige, Ansaldo Energia, RINA Consulting (RINA Group) and the University of Genoa. She is also President of the National Observatory for Cyber Security, Resilience and Business Continuity of Electrical Systems and of the Research Center on Cybersecurity of Electrical Infrastructures and of the Competence Center on Security and Optimization of Strategic Infrastructures 4.0. She is member of the scientific Committee of the Eurispes Security Observatory and she was selected in the 2018 European awards shortlist BCI.
