Alessandro Massa leads the development of technologies, products, and innovation in Leonardo's Cyber & Security Solutions Division. He oversees the technology and product business plans, manages the division's technology portfolio, and ensures the introduction of new technologies through prototypes.
Previously, Massa directed the "Leonardo Labs," where he led exploratory research and coordinated inter-divisional R&D programs for emerging technologies. His technical expertise includes artificial intelligence, aerial robotics, avionics, integrated control systems, radar, electronic warfare (EW), counter-UAV systems, and real-time digital signal processing.
With 15 years of experience in research and innovation, Massa has focused on AI systems and intelligent autonomous systems. He holds a master’s degree in computer science and engineering from the University of Rome La Sapienza and has worked as a systems and software engineering specialist for space, military, and civil applications in the aerospace and defense sectors.
