Ivano Gabrielli

Director of the Postal and Cybersecurity Police Service, Italian National Police
 

Graduated in Law and Political Science with honors, with a master in Security Sciences and a master in Homeland Security, Dr. Ivano Gabrielli has been working in the Postal and Communications Police since 2006. After 3 years at the Postal and Communication Police Field Office of Genoa, he joined the Postal and Communication Police Service HQ of the Department of Public Security in 2009. After 10 years as a Director of the National Cybercrime Center for the Protection of Critical Infrastructures (CNAIPIC), on July 2017 he has assumed the lead of the Postal Police operational Division, which includes the National Cybercrime Center for the Protection of Critical Infrastructure - CNAIPIC, the Cyber Terrorism Unit and the Financial Cyber Crime Unit. On January 2022 he was eventually appointed Director of the Postal and Communications Police Service. Since July 2024, appointed Senior Director of the Italian National Police, he has taken on the role of Director of the Postal and Cyber Security Police Service, part of the newly established Central Directorate for Scientific and Cyber Security Police, which has also inherited the historical skills of the Postal and Communications Police Service.
