Milan Pikula has been working in cybersecurity, software development, Unix/Linux systems, and networking for 30 years. He currently leads SK-CERT, Slovakia’s national cyber security incident response team.
Pikula’s work focuses on low-level programming, penetration testing, malware analysis, CSIRT capability development, and advanced troubleshooting. He has co-authored several projects, including a security framework for the Linux kernel and a TCP/IP stack implemented in Z80 assembly language.
In addition to his professional role, Pikula teaches courses on binary vulnerabilities and digital forensics at the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (STU). Pikula holds the CISSP certification.
