National Deputy Cyber Security Director, Ministry of Transport and Communications, Finland
Janne Allonen has served as Deputy National Cyber Security Director at Finland’s Ministry of Transport and Communications since May 2025.
Prior to this appointment, Allonen held several senior positions at the National Cyber Security Centre Finland (NCSC-FI), part of the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom, including Head of Unit at CERT-FI and Head of Service Area. He has extensive experience in national cyber resilience, incident response, and the development of cybersecurity capabilities.
Allonen also holds a Bachelor of Police Services and previously served with the Helsinki Police Department. In addition, he participated in international crisis management missions in Kosovo and Afghanistan.
In his current role, Allonen supports Finland’s national cybersecurity strategy, helping maintain a cross-government cyber situational picture and coordinating efforts across ministries, public authorities, and international partners. He works closely with stakeholders across the public and private sectors to strengthen Finland’s cyber resilience and advance national and international cybersecurity initiatives.
