Dr. Giovanni Ponti is the Director of the ICT Division at ENEA and a member of the GARR Board of Directors. He obtained his PhD in Computer Engineering in 2010 from the University of Calabria, focusing on data modeling and innovative data mining algorithms.
A senior researcher at ENEA for 16 years, Dr. Ponti’s research activities span the fields of HPC, data science, cloud computing, big data, data analytics, and AI. Within these areas, he has authored prestigious scientific publications (over 100 peer-reviewed), served as a member of conference program committees, and acted as a reviewer for major international journals and conferences.
