Luca Zampaglione has a doctoral degree in Political Sciences – International Relations from the University of Turin, Italy, and holds several certifications in security, business continuity, and risk management. After serving in the Italian National Police from 1983, Luca gained international experience starting with Europol, the European law enforcement agency (2000‐2006), followed by NATO HQ in Brussels (2007‐2013), and currently with eu-LISA (2013-present). Luca has held managerial positions in the field of information security, focusing on the protection of large-scale sensitive and classified IT systems. Appointed by the Management Board as eu-LISA’s Security Officer in 2013, he is responsible for physical, personnel, cyber and information security of the HQ in Tallinn (Estonia) as well as the operational sites in Strasbourg (France) and Sankt Johann im Pongau (Austria).
