Ross McKerchar is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Sophos. Holding a BSc in Computer Science from Edinburgh University, McKerchar joined Sophos in 2007. Over his 17 years with the company, he has successfully established, scaled, and matured Sophos’ Cybersecurity program.
Responsible for all aspects of Sophos' internal cybersecurity program, the CISO team helps keep the company’s customers safe by keeping Sophos' products, infrastructure, and services safe. McKerchar believes that authenticity and transparency are key to achieving the team’s core goal: becoming the most trusted brand in cybersecurity.
Outside of work, McKerchar is passionate about the outdoors. When he’s not spending time with his young family, he enjoys traveling the world for rock climbing, trail running, and surfing.
