Tarek Abbas

Tarek Abbas is Vice President of Technical Solutions at Palo Alto Networks, leading the Technical Solutions organization across EMEA South. A technology and business leader with more than 25 years of experience, he has built and transformed high-performing organizations across the Middle East, Africa, and emerging markets, with a focus on translating technology strategy into business outcomes and long-term customer value. Since joining Palo Alto Networks in 2015, Tarek has taken on progressively broader leadership responsibilities across the region, shaping organizational strategy, strengthening alignment between technology and business teams, and building leadership capabilities to support sustained growth. In his current role, he leads the evolution of the Technical Solutions organization across EMEA South, partnering closely with sales and senior leadership to shape market strategy, accelerate customer transformation, and develop the next generation of technology leaders. Prior to Palo Alto Networks, Tarek spent more than a decade at Juniper Networks in leadership roles across Systems Engineering and Service Provider Sales in the Middle East and Africa. He began his career with Cisco and Siemens AG, building a broad foundation across security, networking, telecommunications, and enterprise technology. Tarek holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer and Communication Engineering from the American University of Beirut.
