Alessandro Massa, spearheads strategic growth, identifying key market opportunities and driving high-value national and international captures. He defines and executes the business development strategy, manages the BD pipeline from lead generation up to support to contract closure, and builds long-term partnerships with government agencies, the armed forces, and industrial partners. As Chief Technology Officer for the Cyber & Security Solutions Division, he spearheaded technological innovation and product development. He was responsible for defining the division's technology roadmap and product business plans, while overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle management of the entire product and technology portfolio. He was in charge of the company's research laboratories known as "Leonardo Labs." In this role, he was responsible for leading and supervising high-risk exploratory research programs and for developing and coordinating inter-divisional research and development programs for emerging technologies. His main technical expertise lies in the areas of artificial intelligence, aerial robotics, onboard avionics equipment, integrated control systems, RF systems (radar, EW systems, and C-UAV), inertial and satellite navigation systems, and real-time digital signal processing. He has been active for 15 years in the field of research and innovation, with a particular focus on Artificial Intelligence systems and Intelligent Autonomous systems. After earning a master’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering from the University of Rome "La Sapienza," he worked as a specialist in systems/software engineering for space, military, and civil applications for various leaders in the aerospace and defense sectors.
