Director, Agea, Italy
Fabio Vitale has served as the Director of the Agenzia per le Erogazioni in Agricoltura (Agea, the Agency for Agricultural Disbursements) since December 2022. He holds three degrees—in Sociology, Economics, and Law—and a Master of Business Administration. Additionally, he is both a lawyer and a journalist.
Previously, Vitale was the General Director for the Supervision of Cooperative Entities and Companies at the Ministry of Economic Development. He has also gained significant experience in public administration as a manager at the Istituto Nazionale per la Previdenza Sociale (INPS), where he held various roles.
At Agea, Vitale has focused on three key operational areas: digitizing systems to expedite payments, simplifying administrative procedures, and combating fraud. He has initiated a comprehensive internal reorganization by introducing strategic planning and control tools, with the goal of placing farmers at the forefront of policy strategies.
