The Hon. Mattia Fantinati served as a Member of the Italian Parliament from 2013 to 2023 and was Undersecretary of State for Public Administration in the Italian Government. His primary focus areas include digital transformation in government and innovation management in both public and private organizations.
Fantinati was appointed by the United Nations Secretary-General as a member of the Multistakeholder Advisory Group (MAG), which advises on the Internet Governance Forum (IGF). He is the president of the Internet Governance Forum of Italy and has been involved in organizing the EuroDIG (European Dialogue on Internet Governance) since 2019.
An engineer by education and training, Fantinati served on the Council of the Italian Society of Engineers in Verona (“Consiglio degli Ingegneri”), where he worked on issues related to IT and digital transformation.
