Head of Cryptography & Quantum Information Lab, Leonardo s.p.a., Italy
I earned a PhD in pure Mathematics in a joint program between Sapienza University and Université de Grenoble 1 (now Université Grenoble-Alpes). After several year of academic research among several distinguished european institutes (Scuola Normale Superiore, Max-Planck Institut fur Mathematik) I joined Leonardo S.p.A. in 2020. In Leonardo I covered different roles, from project manager of funded programs, to technology researcher (in collaboration with the Leonardo Innovation Lab) with a focus on quantum information and communication. Since the very beginning I have been tightly linked to activities related to data security and cryptography. Since July 2024 I am Head of Cryptography and Quantum Information Laboratory in the CTO of the Cyber & Security Solutions Division in Leonardo. Currently I also act as Technical Authority of ESA's Quantum Security Verification Platform project, where Leonardo Cyber & Security Solutions Division is Prime Contractor. My interests cover Post-Quantum Cryptography, Fully-Homomorphic Encryption, Attribute Based Encryption, Data Centric Security and Zero Trust cybersecurity framework.
