Security Lead for Italy, Central Europe and Greece, Accenture, Italy
Marco Molinaro has over 20 years of experience in information and digital security, with deep expertise in logic security and industrial control systems. He has been with Accenture since 2007, where he has held several senior roles covering Italy, Central and Eastern Europe, and Greece, focusing on cybersecurity across various industries, including financial services, energy, public administration, and public utilities. Previously, he led the development of emerging digital identity and trust services, overseeing transformation programs in Italy, Greece, Turkey, Eastern Europe, Russia, and the Middle East.
Molinaro has helped corporate clients enhance their cybersecurity awareness and protect their digital business operations. He reports to Jacky Fox, Accenture’s Head of Security for Europe, and is a member of the Global Security Leadership Team, led by Italian executive Paolo Dal Cin. Molinaro also serves on the Accenture Italy leadership team, headed by CEO Mauro Macchi.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from the University of Rome "La Sapienza," a master’s degree in information security management, and a specialization in quantum computing from MIT. Molinaro collaborates with several universities as a lecturer in master’s programs for higher education. He holds multiple certifications in program management, project management, ICT services, as well as in international standards, industry processes, and cutting-edge cybersecurity technologies. He is married, lives in Rome, and is an avid motorcycling and skiing enthusiast.
