Roberto De Paolis holds a degree in electronic engineering and has been a pioneer in telematics since 1984, when he managed one of Italy’s first bulletin board systems (BBS) using a Commodore 64. His career includes several consulting roles between 1999 and 2004, after which he moved into corporate cybersecurity, taking on positions of increasing responsibility at organizations including Northrop Grumman, SKY, Gruppo UniCredit, and Gruppo Bancario ICCREA.
In January 2018, De Paolis joined Leonardo as Head of the Digital Security & Security Operations Organizational Unit, where he oversees the security technology stack, spanning perimeter security, endpoints, and identity layers.
